Results / 2018 Jim Johnson Memorial Youth Shoot at J&H Results
« Last post by dianered on July 14, 2018, 05:11:11 PM »
Thank you to everyone who came out on the extremely hot day.  What a great day for the kids.  Everyone seemed to have a good time and after shooting Mom put on a great buffet lunch.  Every participant received a shooting vest and a door prize.  A big thank you to Recob's Target Shop, MEC Traps and Gary Ross for their generous prize donations.  Wonderful sponsors, generous volunteers, and of course the kids made for a successful day.
Congratulations to brother and sister Josh and Madeline Corbin for being high boy and high girl shooters; scores 97 and 93 respectively.  Awesome shooting.
Thank you again and good shooting.  We had no shooters in the 10 and under group this year.  Hopefully we can get some interested next year.

Attention to everyone that have youngsters that like to shoot.  J&H is hosting our annual youth shoot this Sat. July 14th.  Registration is at 8AM.  Shotgun start at 9AM.  Shooting should be done by noonish and lunch is included with the $25 fee for 100 targets.  Spectators are asked for a $5 donation to eat with the kids.  All kids age 18 and under may participate but must be accompanied by an adult.  The more the merrier, so we hope to see a lot of kids here on Sat.  We have trophies for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd for each age group.  If you have any questions, please call Diane   715-758-8134 or e-mail:
Classified (Buy/Sell/Trade) / German Shorthaired Pointer pups
« Last post by amyjanz on July 12, 2018, 12:43:13 PM »
We have a litter of shorthair pups that are two weeks old.  They will be ready to go the end of August.  I own the mother and guide hunts with her at Woods & Meadow.  The stud also hunts at Woods & Meadow.  Both parents have all their health clearances.  Pups will have their first shots, be de-wormed, have tails docked and dew claws removed.  We start the pups on pheasant wings and they are well socialized by our kids.

Pictures are on my website:

Sorry, I don't very often read through all the posts.  Here is a printout I did for my own reference.  It is not exactly official, but it should be accurate.

General Discussion / Re: McMiller Registered Shoot Saturday Cancelled 7/14

For years McMiller had very good 12 gauge events. Many shooters participated.
Donít understand the reasoning for throwing small gauge only tournaments.
You are only limiting your own ability to earn extra revenue by throwing small gauge only.
You could do both as Waunakee does. If you are going to throw 12ga. in August, why not July?

Cancelling the shoot 3 days prior to the event due to a 50% chance of thunderstorms?
Thatís a new one.

Please note that this Saturday, July 14 McMiller's Registered SubGauge Shoot is Cancelled due to the 13 shooter turnout at the last shoot and also the weather forecast (chance of Thunderstorms).

McMiller is still planning on having the 12 gauge registered shoot on Saturday, August 25th.

Any questions please call Wern Valley at 262-968-2400.
