Results / 2020 All Rabbit Shoot Results at J&H
« on: September 19, 2020, 05:44:41 PM »
Thank you to everyone that came and shot our all Rabbit Shoot.  The temps started a bit cool but it was a wonderful day to be in the great outdoors.  We had 196 shooters with 7 doing a 2nd round.  What a fun day.
Results are posted here and I will write out checks this week.  All but 1 door prize can be mailed.  We hope you all put your mailing address (if you won money or prize) so that we can send you what you won.
Lucky number was "0".  10 shooters split that pot.
Thank you again and we hope to see you soon.  Oh, and by the way.....I am seeing a few of those "Wascally Wabbits" running about yet!  They are daring you to be back next year!  ha ha

We were unable to acquire extra golf carts from the local golf courses this year, sorry.  We only have the 2 here which are already spoken for at 9 and 11.
Those "Wascally Wabbits" are gearing up as I type.  They will be ready for you tomorrow.  In case you have never shot our bunnies before...they are NOT all on the ground.  Some fling up into the air and some actually drop from the sky.  Yup they are tricky little buggers.  Ha will have so much fun even when you miss those that are barely moving.
Hope to see you tomorrow.  And the weather sounds like it will be beautiful shooting weather all day long.  Registration is from 8-3  Diane

General Discussion / 2020 All Rabbit Shoot at J&H
« on: September 03, 2020, 12:36:08 PM »
Our annual All Rabbit shoot will be held Saturday, Sept. 19th.  Registration is from 8-3.  Back by popular demand will be "mulligans" for those who want them.  $5 for 3 pair.
If anyone wants a golf cart you must call in advance as we will have to rent them from our local golf course.  They haven't given us a price yet, but I am sure they will not cost more than we get for the Ironman which was $45/2 seater.  CALL NOW if you want to rent a cart.
To avoid backups, we are requesting that squads be no more than 5 or 6.  If you have more than that you will have to follow each other as 2 groups.
Lunch will be available again but will not be run as a buffet.  Mom will have hot pork, hot turkey, sloppy joes served with chips and hot pork N beans.  Cost is $5/sandwich.
We will have door prizes and we will be running an optional lewis $10 and lucky number for $5.
Expect lots of fun and laughter!  If you have any questions contact Diane     Registration is the day of only.

General Discussion / State Shoot Banquet
« on: July 14, 2020, 10:12:29 AM »
Due to state and local restrictions, there will be no Saturday night banquet at the state shoot this year.  There will be the normal business meeting right after the shoot-offs, so if you have anything you would like to say...that is the time...or contact your zone representative to relay your thoughts.
Pete has assured us that he will be having snacks and drinks Friday and Saturday evening and will also be having sanitizers on the courses and around the club house areas.
The WSCA BOD apologizes for this inconvenience, but for the safety of all we felt it is the right thing to do this year.
We are looking forward to another great Wisconsin State Championship and want to say a great big THANK YOU to Pete Melloy at Game Unlimited for hosting this year's event.  We hope to see you there.  Be safe and stay healthy.  WSCA BOD

It has been brought to my attention that the J&H Lewis classes are incorrect.  Please bear with me as I recalculate.  I apologize in advance as I am sure this will be affecting both Red and White payouts for Lewis.  So sorry.  Good thing the mail lady was late today!   Diane

I will have the checks in the mail by the weekend.

Thank you to everyone who came out on this beautiful weekend to shoot the Wis. Ironman.  Thank you also to all those who went out of your way to say kind words to our staff at J&H.
All the reports posted here are all 1st draft.  This will give all shooters this week to ask questions and to make sure you are in the correct class.  If you punched Saturday did you check to see if you punched up to a new class for Sunday's shoot?  We are only giving you this week to make any changes.  Please contact me, Diane, ASAP.  We are closed tomorrow, Monday, but I will be taking my laptop home and will monitor e-mails.  I will be able to verify scoresheet questions on Tuesday.
CONGRATULATIONS TO PETE MELLOY FOR HIS 5TH IRONMAN CHAMPIONSHIP with a score of 377/400.  Way to go Pete!  Congrats also to Gene Jack and Thomas Lee for RU score of 367/400.
Thank you again for sharing your weekend with all of us at MRC, Wausau and J&H.  Diane

General Discussion / 2020 Wis. Ironman Updates (6/25) Squad sheets
« on: June 23, 2020, 03:23:19 PM »
Just wanted to give you all a few updates on the Wis. Ironman.
First, all 3 clubs will have a choice of hot sandwiches, chips, beans, etc.  So you can eat when and where you would like.
Wausau:  Shredded beef on bun, chips (in individual bags), beans, mini-carrots (raw) and dessert.  Price is $7.00, does not include drink.  Sandwich only $5.00.  Additional desserts $1.00
MRC:  MRC menu is BBQ, or chicken sandwich, hot beans , chips, and a soda.  $8.
J&H:  Hot Pork, Hot Turkey or Sloppy Joe sandwich, hot beans, chips, brownie or cookie and a soda $8  Sandwich only $5   Additional dessert $ .50.

I will have the updated squad sheet up tonight and a final one Thursday PM, so please take a look before you shoot to verify times.  We have some empty squads so some shooters will be going out a few minutes earlier than scheduled.  Clubs will be calling out your squad when you are ready to go to station #1.  So please register and wait outside until your time is ready to go.  Again, if you could please come in as an entire squad it would make registration much easier.  Thank you.

WAUSAU update:  There will be no shuttle this year.  They are asking that all vehicles pulling a trailer with an ATV/UTV park in the lot down the road and it is OK to drive those vehicles (4-wheelers, side by sides) on the road.  Then shooters that will be walking the course can park up near the clubhouse.  Please be courteous.  Thank you very much.
